Ijebu-Ode- Epe Road ready next year, says Gov Dapo Abiodun

Ijebu-Ode- Epe Road

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun on Wednesday inspected the level of work on the Ijebu-Ode-Epe Road and hoped that it would be completed on or before next July

He said the variegated lanes road – ranging from four to 15 lanes, depending on the point along the corridor, when completed, would further open up that axis of the state for industrial purposes, adding that it had become another evacuation corridor into the Lekki area of Lagos State.

The governor noted that the pace of work by the contractor could have been faster than it really is today, were it not for the Coronavirus pandemic and rainy season.

He said by virtue of the Ijebu-Ode-Epe Road project and its potential to enhance access to the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Dangote Refinery and a new port coming up in that area (Lekki), Ogun State has received a lot of expressions of interest and applications for industrial land, industrial estate, trailer parks among others by investors because it is now deemed “another industrial corridor.
